My name is Jen and I'm the owner and breeder here at Bleu Jay Exotics! For as long as I can remember, I've been fascinated by animals. In school, my love for animals and science collided in the studies of genetics and anatomy. I found myself captivated and decided to dive further into studies on my own. I started looking more into the genetics behind my beloved pets! Before I knew it, I was engulfed in the study of rat genetics. I studied genetics for about 2 years before I started breeding!
I started breeding rats and mice in 2018 and added guinea pigs in 2020. I would love to add more small animal species in the future! We currently breed a wide variety of rats, a few breeds of guinea pigs, russian dwarf hamsters, fancy mice and we will soon be adding english lop rabbits! We only want to sell well tempered and healthy pets to our adopters and fellow breeders.
